How to Make Your Own Cleaning Products

Kitchen Countertop and Table Cleaner
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup water

Tub or Sink Scrub
Baking soda
Water
Directions: make a paste to clean tub, shower or sinks. For extra scrubbing power add a little salt. Can also be used in the kitchen.

Bathroom Soap Scum Cleaner
2 cups white vinegar
1 cup hot water
Directions: Spray on shower walls, let sit for 15 minutes, scrub and rinse. This works best if you do this after someone has already used the shower and it is still wet.

Stainless Steel Appliance Cleaner
Use club soda on a clean soft cotton cloth and wipe stainless steel for a beautiful shine.

Drain Cleaner
Pour half a box of baking soda in the drain; add 1 cup white vinegar which will foam like a volcano. Let sit a few minutes then flush with hot water.

Garbage Disposal Cleaner

Use ½ cup of vinegar per gallon of water and wipe dry after cleaning.

Furniture Polish
½ teaspoon olive oil
¼ cup vinegar or lemon juice
Directions: mix in a glass jar. Dab a soft cotton rag into the solution and wipe onto wood surfaces.

Window Cleaner
¼ cup white vinegar
½ teaspoon liquid soap of detergent
2 cups water
Directions: combine the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake gently to blend.

Oven Cleaner
1 cup or more of baking soda
1 squirt or two of liquid soap
Directions: Sprinkle water generously over the bottom of oven, then thoroughly cover the bottom with baking soda. Pour salt on the built up baked on spills. The key is to let it sit overnight. In the morning wipe up with clean water and a rag.
